Life in Kyoto has begun! Here’s a picture of Ayumi and I today out on a walk by the lake to feed the carp and turtles. We’re pretty much settled in, and are enjoying our new life. We’re still waiting on official wedding photo’s, so hopefully I can put something up from our wedding soon:)

Here’s my new university, the Kyoto University of Art and Design. After about 6 months of Japanese studies, I will begin a masters program in Animation. So expect lots of anime inspired sketches and rambling posts to come…

These are a few (of many) sketches I’ve done recently for an idea that’s been slowly coming together. The backgrounds were shot mostly in Hyde Park, London, UK in the fall of 2007. I used a Panasonic HDC-SD3 HD cam with a Letus35a adapter and various old Pentax 35mm lenses I found on ebay.
comments and observations are welcome

It’s about time I’m getting something up here! Well I hope everyone is having a great time with their families and eating lots! It’s quite an adventure being here in Australia this time of year. Good luck to all my friends and family in the New Year.
ps. Don’t forget to do a sit-up every morning in the New Year, for your health!

While rummaging around some old files, I came across a test_render folder from a concept that I was playing around with. Here are a few renders I picked out of the bunch. Much of the work and these pictures are a result of late night, coffee induced, insomniac, creative sessions. Some are interesting and some are weird. Please enjoy.
